The Cupid's Bow

Unlike the Charm Grenade, the Cupid's Bow's purpose is to just charm enemies, period. So why, When I upgrade it, does it do MORE damage? The point is to charm enemies to fight for you, not to kill them directly! Here are some possible upgrade options I thought of:
-Make it heal instead of do damage
-Make the "Charm" debuff last longer
-Make it deal way more damage in general to make it's use akin to charm grenades
-Even making it deal LESS damage would be better for upgrades, this weapon is made worse the more damage it deals! Thank you Core Keeper team, And keep this in mind please. -Me
