The conveyor item detector detects when an item or possibly a specific item moves across a conveyor and activates an energy pulse. This in my constructions can allow for a rudimentary buffer to be made with a chest and logic circuit controlling the deployment of the buffer with a robot arm. additionally if you can give it a filtered item to detect it can fire off specific "programed" logic based on the items traversing the conveyor line allowing for more complicated designs.
