Automation of non-fish fishing

I do feel like fish and non-fish loot should remain separate, so the addition of fishing nets is great, but still I do feel like there should be a way to automate fishing for non-fish loot, so I think another automation device should be added for that purpose, but tied with a higher cost (as fishing nets are relatively cheap when not considering the automatic farming aspect) and maybe some other restrictions, not too over-the-top but it also shouldn't feel too easy to set up.

Some ideas would be some devices that imply reaching the bottom of each liquid, some kind of bucket/shoveling/excavation device, maybe tied to galaxite (after octarine for automatic farms) which would also naturally enable fishing in lava (until I tried I wasn't sure whether automated fishing in lava was possible), maybe it could make use of different wood types for different liquids (e.g. wood>early/normal, coral>mid/acid/mold/sea, gleam>late/lava/etc.) for its operating cost to incentivize wood automation.
