Materializers could work as a way to automate mob farming... but much less efficiently

Mob auto farming is already there, but not only it takes a lot of unnecessary and tedious work it also needs a knowledge on the technical parts of mob spawning in order to make it work properly, which should not be necessary.
Materializers could still spawn the mirrored mob, but make the loot chances much lower, say x10 times lower so the process is automated but extremely slow in comparison to doing it yourself as it usually is with automation.

ZxcMaybe game to have a new items called spawner, which have cooldown and all mob spawn by this, drop items.
Just like minecraft spawner block.
This items could either be a plunder only from area beyond breaker' reach, or a receipes needing many materializer.
