Conveyor belt that only transports items (that doesn't transport enemies)

I would love to able to transport materials automatically over the whole map, without needing find a way to get rid of all the enemies.
So my suggestion is a conveyor belt that only transports items. Not sure how that would look, but maybe there is a mesh-fence thingy on it, or a complete shroud, or something
