Exploration Gear

In it's current state it can be very frustrating to search your world for small and rare scenes, containing valuable items (e.g. Spine Ring, Paradise Fruit Basket...). While the recent addition of Echo Maps helps a great deal with finding some things, it is not feasible to add one for every scene.
Thus I propose the addition of equipment that helps you explore the world.
Some specific Ideas I had were a Radar Backpack, which gives you extra map discovery range, a Magic Compass, as an offhand item, that always points to the nearest scene, or perhaps a stationary object that slowly reveals the map around it.
