Expanding game content into new areas...
I doubt anything will come of this but with the AMA coming up, I started thinking about the future of CK, new biomes, etc. etc. given a finite map... I pondered potential possibilities, how they would be laid out, what would they look like, what size they might be given ever increasing restrictions, etc. etc. and I thought of something. Caves. Not just ordinary caves. Caves with an entrance that leads seamlessly into... well a pocket dimension or pocket biome I suppose. A pocket biome could be as large as the devs or you choose (if they give us a knob to turn for them). Only the (two or more) entrance squares would be part of the main map. Walking through the entrance squares would trigger the transition from the main map to the pocket only map. The pocket biome would be it's own separate [mini] map seamlessly connected to the main map via its entrance. Pocket biomes could even connect to other pocket biomes or have exits to back to a different places on the main map. Thoughts?

iDoodlerHonestly, I don't see much need for extra dimensions since teleporters exist. Switching from an infinite to a finite world was meant to improve performance, streamline UX, and make it easier to add new areas without overwriting existing ones. New dimensions get around some of that, but they also risk introducing a bunch of new bugs and problems that are easier to avoid by not adding them. Expanding the world like before is just simpler.
Also personally, single dimensional worlds *feel* more real to me. Teleporters do break that illusion a bit, but they're a necessary evil. If they ever did add dimensions, I think I'd prefer them to be temporary. That said, I don't feel super strongly about it aside from the technical side.
