Free your Pets
As you play you find a lot of Eggs to Hatch and there is a point where you start searching for "the perfect" Hatch. The other Animals get sold or kept in a dark chest but heres my Idea that I had:
What if there was an option to "set them free".
My idea of it is like there is a device or an option to free the hatched pets.
When the player decides to do so: it gives an option to choose one of the percs that the pet came with.
This will then add a permament Buff of that specific perc to the Player.
Not much, more like +0,01 or 0,001% to keep it kinda fair.
Alternatively/additionally it could boost the chance to get a stronger Pet of the same kind with the next hatch. This also by just a tiny bit per "release".
Aditionally the Pet could roam the world like a small glowing orb in the colour it had or a very small version of itself.

I think the main issue with pets is that they fundamentally rely on RNG for their perks and visual appearance, if there was a way to combat the RNG the likelihood of accumulating pets in chests or having to sell/trash them would be reduced, granted they may still accumulate nevertheless but that would kinda be on the player then.
While there could be some benefits attached to setting them free (or another suggestion was for a pet sanctuary), I don't think the possibility of infinite scaling should exist, irrelevant of how small it may initially appear it would give an incentive to grind it and otherwise make the player feel like they might be missing out, especially since this would benefit any playstyle rather than a specific one the player would feel prompted to do it rather than it being optional.
Maybe if there was a limit to the scaling, and also maybe only for pets specifically which wouldn't affect the player directly, preferably also separated by pet type.
