Combine farm arms and automation arms. (please no more single use automation items)
Each automation item should have a 3 use minimum. Single use should be avoided. The farm arm functionality could have easily been added to the automation arm as a togglable state.
Drills are a perfect example, they can mine, move objects and deal damage. More of this kind of design please.

I don't really have an issue with them being separate, it also is supposed to give a sense of additional progression after manual farming and at a later point than the sprinkler with octarine rather than scarlet. Not every player is going to be aware of every nuance of the game and the items/objects within, so I think having objects with clearer purposes is better, e.g. not everyone is going to be aware that drills can also be used for moving or a variety of other circuitry/automation purposes rather than just to extract ores from boulders.
That being said it seems to be very expensive for what it does, granted I have gone through the trouble of terraforming a larger area than necessary but overall larger gains can be achieved by manual farming rather than sinking a significant amount of resources to scale automatic farms, while I could create a smaller automatic farm and simply give it time to produce I kinda don't feel like going through the trouble and keep farming manually. -

misprinted_zedruu@TheUnk0wnDead if its intended to imply progress then it should come earlier. Gaining access to the farm arm late-mid game/early late game combined with its crafting costs makes it feel only good for making number get bigger. Using it cuts your yield in half, radically decreases gold crop rates, and saves you only the time is takes to run around and manual harvest (so like 20 seconds). I dont feel that it actually accomplishes anything in game, no payoff other than hoarding. It feels like a superfluous addition to the game intended to render 1.1 circuitry builds useless by making the cool things people spent tons of time creating into single use automation items that only require constant power sources to operate. The drills ability to produce seeds from breaking a crop has also been removed. Its hard to not take that as a slight against the circuitry crew. They gave us a strictly worse automation item and then removed the pre-existing alternative that many people used.
