Streamline Cooking Ingredients
There's LOTS of noise when it comes to cooking ingredients. +0.87 Health regen, +43.03% damage, it's all really unpleasant to track for us and probably to balance for you. Thus, idea:
Properties + Tiers
- Properties are the types of effects. Empowering = +Damage, Toughening = +Armor, etc.
- Tier is a standardized measure of power given to a property. T1 Empowering = +10% Damage. T2 Empowering = +20% damage, etc.
With this system you'll have a standardized, relatively easy to perceive and relatively easy to balance system for your ingredients.
Hypothetical Example:
"Guys, I think Starlight Nautilus might be underpowered, it has only 4 tiers worth of total bonuses, T1 Keen, T1 Quickening, T2 Regenerative, despite being a legendary ingredient. All the while Tornis Kingfish is just an epic ingredient and it has T5 Empowering. Give Nautilus +2 tiers in Regenerative"
Instead of the current:
"Guys, I think Starlight Nautilus is underpowered because +12412.72564124718241243... *snore*"
