Make drills cooler AND more balanced

In my playthrough I find drills to be abit overpowered. I explored Azeos' wilderness and found a scarlet boulder, placed 8 cheap drills down (tin) and when I returned I had no need to mine any scarlet ore anymore. (I know, just don't do it then, but hear me out.)

I think it would be way more balanced if there were drill bodies, like we have now (tin and scarlet), that determine the mining speed, but have mountable drill heads.
You can only mine ore boulders with a drillhead of a higher tier.

So in my case I would need to get the next tier of ore (octarine) to get basically infinite scarlet ore.

This would, in my opinion, make the game more in depth, the drills look cooler, be more realistic (as in real life you can also only mine something with a harder material) AND be more balanced.
